Hey there everyone! Beruchim Habaim and welcome to Mushka Levitansky, sister of Rebbetzen Rivky, who will be joining the South Head Youth team for a full year. Please give her a warm South Head welcome Save the Date! Mother – Daughter Event (for girls 11-15 and their mothers, grandmothers, or on their own), 7.00pm  August 31st. Spend some quality time with your daughter, as you do some interesting learning, and creative cake decorating. For additional info please contact Rebbetzen Rivky. _____ The second Bat Mitzvah Discovery course is in full swing, with the girls recently learning about their Neshoma, their ability to make choices, and the 3 special Mitzvot of the Jewish Women. Registration is currently open for the upcoming courses, please contact the Shule office.                          Birthday club for children having their birthdays in the months of Av and Elul is scheduled for Sep. 19th please keep your eyes on the post for your personal invite. _____ Jewish Birthdays: Any child who is having their Jewish birthday during the Hebrew Month of Av, please email us a picture of yourself. _____ Save the Date: The popular Hands-on Shofar factory will be coming to South Head on Sun. Sep. 14th 4:00 – 5:00 PM more details to follow _____ Childrens' Services: featuring Tefillah, Torah study, games, and snacks, Every Friday night at 5:45 pm and Shabbat day at 10:30 am. Sheepish about Shul ...

Benjamin woke up one Saturday morning in a bad mood. When he came down to breakfast, he told his visiting sister Sarah angrily, "I'm not going to shul today!"

"Yes you are," Sarah replied calmly.
 
"No I'm not. I don't want to go there ever again! The people down there don't like me, they ignore me...they don't appreciate me at all...and I won't go back."

"You will go to shul today, and you will continue to go to," said Sarah with confidence, "and I'll give you two reasons. Number one, you're 45 years old and number two – you're the rabbi!"
